One day. Every level. One cause.

Know before you go
The rules
Nothing here is designed to catch anyone out. The point is that everyone competes on the same terms and nobody gets hurt.
Movements
- A rep counts when the judge counts it. If you're not sure, ask before the clock starts.
- A no-rep has to be redone before you move on.
Judging
- Every athlete is judged, and judges are briefed before the first heat.
- You may be asked to judge a heat you're not competing in.
- Anything disputed goes to the head judge, and their call is the end of it.
Scoring
- Each workout is scored, and the placings combine into one leaderboard.
- Ties are split by your best single-workout finish.
- The leaderboard is final once it's read out at the presentation.
Safety
- Warm up properly, and tell us about an injury before you start rather than after.
- Look after the kit and the people working next to you.
- Anything unsafe or abusive ends your day, whatever the leaderboard says.
The spirit of it
- This is a fundraiser first and a competition second.
- Stay to cheer the last heat — the last finisher usually gets the loudest room.
- If you're unsure about anything, ask. That's what the briefing is for.

Join a taster class
Join some of our taster classes and get an example of the JMS Experience — the coaching, the room, and the way a session actually runs. Pay what you feel is right on the day and the fee goes to fund a defibrillator.
- Members and non-members equally welcome
- Book ahead if you can, so we know how to set the floor up

Before you ask
Questions we get a lot
Do I need to be a member of JMS Fitness?
No. Members and non-members enter on exactly the same terms.
I've never competed before. Is it for me?
Yes. Come and have a go — not all winners are the person who comes first. We're a supportive group, and you never know, there might be spot prizes.
Can I enter as a team?
Nope, but bring some friends along.
Where does the money go?
Entry fees, raffle takings and everything raised on the day go towards buying a defibrillator.
Can't make it?
You can still put money towards a defibrillator without setting foot in the gym.
